Last month we told you the line-up for Hasbro's upcoming 4th wave of Marvel Infinite 3.75" figure would include the following:
2x AVN MVL PLATINUM HULK
2x AVN MVL PLATINUM WONDER MAN
2x AVN MVL DEATHS HEAD
2x AVN STAR LORD
2x AVN DRAX
2x AVN ROCKET RACCOON WITH GROOT
At the time it was unclear (though I guess most suspected the truth) if the
Guardians of the Galaxy figures listed would be new figures or simply a repacking of the
Marvel Universe Guardians 3-pack. Well based on a new image released in the latest issue of Previews magazine it would appear our worst fears have been realized. Hasbro is in fact just re-issuing that 3-pack that was released last year on single cards. That means the only new figure to be released in wave four will be the
Ionic Wonder Man figure. The
Hulk and
Death's Head figures were just recently released in wave's 1 and 2 of the Infinite line, and that Guardians 3-pack can still be found on many shelves or in discount bins. Sometimes you really have to wonder and scratch your head when you see Hasbro and/or the large retailers come up with case assortments like this, because making a wave that consists of practically all figures currently available on shelves seems like a sure way of insuring you have a wave that doesn't sell very well.
