UPDATE: Robotkingdom who originally had this 2-pack listed with a June 14 release date for overseas has let us know that has now been pushed back until August first. Still now word on when we will see it released for the US.
MINOR UPDATE: The claws that come with the Claire figure were featured in season 1 for the Netflix Iron Fist series.
I woke up this morning with this in my in-box from the folks at Robotkingdom. Looks like those fans of the
Marvel Netflix TV series figures are getting a surprise from Hasbro with this new
Marvel Legends 6" Netflix Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) figure 2-pack which here in the United States will be offered as a
Walmart Exclusive.
Robotkingdom which is an overseas etailer will also be carrying it and they have it listed with a June 14 release for
$50.
With this set it means we will have Marvel Legends figures of all 4 Defenders except Iron Fist which I am sure will be released at some point in some way. It may seem a little weird that Claire is getting a figure before Iron Fist but truth is Claire has been in almost every Netflix Marvel series since they began on the streaming service, so in reality she is probably more deserving of the plastic treatment than Iron Fist and I think more popular to. Not sure why she has the claws. I can't remember if that was something she used previously or perhaps a minor spoiler for the upcoming second season of Luke Cage?
The one downside to this set I might see is it possibly indicates we won't see a second full wave of Netflix Marvel Legends figures offered from Hasbro which means the chances of getting a Kingpin Build-A-Figure might be less likely, we will just have to see.
