Marvel Legends Purple Hair Psylocke Figure Variant

Kidultdx sends word of a new variant for the Psylocke figure in the X-Men Marvel Legends Apocalypse Build-A-Figure wave that seems to be shipping in a 1:1 ratio. This is something we are starting to see more often from Hasbro as they did something similar with the Mysterio figure in the Spider-Man Lizard Build-A-Figure wave. Mysterio had one version with a green transparent headsculpt under the globe and a second one released with white. Both figures seemed to be released equally as appears to be the case here with Psylocke, meaning don't expect one to really be worth more than the other on the secondary market.

So what is different about the two Psylocke figures? The main difference is the hair. One version has black hair and the other has purple hair. Having just wrapped up a review of the Psylocke with black hair which I will be posting later today, I have to say I do like the purple hair version better based on these images.



The other difference between the two figures is the one with purple hair seems to be done with an overall darker color for the costume which to me doesn't make a huge difference.



Now if you are wondering which is more comic book accurate? While she has been portrayed with both black and purple hair over the years, I would say the look with purple highlights is the more iconic one and seen more commonly in the pages of the X-Men.
