Shown below is a look at the Marvel Legends Fan-Channel Retro Spider-Man Kingpin figure from Hasbro. The figure is a reissue of the previous Kingpin Build-A-Figure with a new paint deco. This version has purple pants, cane and an alternate beat up headsculpt. It also comes on the new retro cardback that pays tribute to the Spider-Man animated series 5" line from Toy Biz. You can pre-order this from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.

I dont know If I really need a new one, I managed to get a full BAF and also build a second one for Shadowking, Im torn between getting this new one so both charaters are diferent in my displays but I kind of like the BAF look better than this one for Kingpin, I dont know I guess time will tell.

The collar could be a overlay I dont see Hasbro resculpting the whole chest just for the ascott seeing how everything else is the same (they didnt make a new head just painted the screaming head with damage) so I think itll probably be an extra piece just put on top of the previous chest.

Right, that's what I said it probably was, too.

I didn't realize the collar area could be swapped out on the torso during production. Or maybe the cravat is an overlay. Either way, I didn't expect a variant that would look so classic. Nice.

I was pretty happy he is only $30, dont care about the packaging, felt that the Venom and Archangel wereover-priced, even if theywere$30 at release..of course this is just my opinion feels like they could get $35-40 for Kingpin ( this guy is heavy, large figure)..dont feel like Hasbro is taking us on this one

The wholesale prices on Legends are actual garbage. It's basically impossible to make a profit off the line at MSRP. $35, though? That's pushing it. $25 to $30 is what a $20 figure should cost in order for a store to make a comfortable margin, though--as a consumer--I wouldn't pay that either for most figures.

I wonder if Hasbro is having their toys shipped to the US from China, then shipping them to the rest of the world. Their prices would probably be alot better in Europe if they had European fulfillment centers that could receive the goods from China directly. Shipping fromChina is cheap, but shipping from the US is murderously expensive.

That's probably the reason. Shipping and taxes is the main reason I don't buy much online

I had to bite the bulletand raise the price of Legends to $21.50 at my store this year. I was actually losing money on sales at $20, let alone on pegwarmers.

You should loot! lol. Do they have a high mark up? the comic shops around me add and extra $15, I stopped going.

I don't think it's a high markup as everything else is reasonable priced. Marvel Legends have always been the most expensive 6 inch figures in Ireland, especially as the main places that sell toys like SMYTHS don't sell Marvel Legends

I would love the prices to be reasonable but it is the only place to buy Marvel Legends within about 120 km and it is my local comic shop.

Yeah that's sad and it sounds like price gouging. Its a foolish business model- just think how many more consumers Hasbro could reach there if the price were more reasonable!

I know Red Hulk's $30, but I could have sworn Archangel was $35 or $40 originally, and I'm sure Grey Hulk and the SDCC Hulk were $35. Either way, my point stands that $30 is a reasonable price for Kingpin if we accept $20 as the price of a standard figure. I agree that Legends are generallysome of the best value that can be had for action figures, and I don't think Hasbro is ripping anyone off, but I still wish they were cheaper.

I agree with you. $30 is reasonable and normally I don't care for the vintage packaging but I like it here.

They can only make it the standard price point it is a standard figure, which the Kingpin is not. For me now 40 is sadly now coming the price for a standard figure, hence I'm cherrypicking waves even more.
