Nice looking figure. Definately an improvement over the previous version.
Definite & easy pass - and not sure if the usual justification(s) for these double-dip, slight-tweak-on-different-card figures - that they are "Great for people who couldn't get them first time round, " and/or that they are too expensive on the secondary market - works here as it does with the 'new' retro Rogue.
It's a good figure, but I want to buy new figure because I don't already own them (or a 98% similar version). And, of course, there's at least 10 easy (& cheaper) X-based repaints that could have gone on the retro card (an X-Factor Jean Grey / UXM #200 Magneto / X-Force Night crawler / classic Banshee). Bit of a lost opportunity, but it is what it is.
I'm happy with my Caliban Gambit so this is a pass for me.
I actually didn't mind the old hair from the Caliban wave. I do wish they gave him a new head sculpt instead.
Everyone can relax... GAMBIT has returned.
I wouldve been fine with the 1st one, but I cant argue with myself that I like this retroonebetter.
Ah...the "Summers Brother" who wasnt! My fave X-Man from the animated series and an overall cool mutant. Love this figure!!
