Marvel Legends Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings Katy Figure Revealed

Jay Cochran - April 19, 2021
UPDATE: The initial price we received for this figure of $27 was incorrect. The figure will retail at the same $22.99 price the other Shang-Chi Marvel Legend figures.

Shown below via MCUCollector is our first look at the Marvel Legends Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings Katy figure coming from Hasbro. The character Katy is a friend of Shanf-Chi who is being played by comedian and actress Awkwafina. I believe Katy is the woman driving the bus in the new trailer that just dropped this morning for the movie, though based on this figure she apparently gets more of a action oriented look at some point.

It also looks like from this image that she comes with the creature named Morris. I don't know what Morris is but I've seen it included with some of the LEGO sets based on the movie.

The figure was found at Target and looks like will be offered as a stand-alone Target exclusive. The official release date should be 4/25. Look like Katy will cost $27. The regular Shang-Chi figures have the new MSRP of $22.99. Thanks to Omni for the info.

This wave woulda sold better had Hasbro just included an alternate classic 80s Zemo head sculpt. I woulda bought the entire wave 2128796673_MisterHydebyJB.thumb.png.d8ac7b323245a08cff19e19f37bc4cc9.png 2026920375_MrHydevsBK.thumb.jpg.bdf4d78843cf4c52d1c7c424d6277965.jpgfor that & then sold off the MCU figs. But nooooooo, some genius at Hasbro thought the more modern version was the popular look for him & no one had the cojones to say, "I beg to differ".

The Katy figure, a couple Shang Chi's and several of the AI Ironman's have been clogging the pegs at my local target for a couple months now

Visited Target the other day, and shelves were a waste land. No GI Joe, a smattering of the Villains wave (bunch of Hoods) and a big swath of Katy.

Think we all saw that coming.

Figure looks good for what it is, though. I just wonder what they were thinking.

(Hears the thoughts of fans over the Eternals wave....)

I saw a lone Roadblock repaint on the pegs today at my local Tarjay & 4 AI IM, 3 Shang Chi's & 9 Katy's. They're at 50% off. Ghostbusters figs were also going for 50% off as well. My local GS had everyone in the BOTBG wave minus Yuriko.

Just got back from hitting 3 Targets. Saw like a total of 17 Katy's rotting on the pegs. What's the big "Hype" bout this character that some of you were going bonkers over? She'll probably be at Ross by the end of summer.

Dude. In Florida, the retro 3.75in are $19.99. How fucked up is that

I wouldn't get them if they were $5.99. 80's level POA & they want double digit cheddar!

Whoa- where is that? I thought that $11.79, in the city of Chicago, was a bit of a stiff mark-up.

As I feared, the articulation for this figure is way hindered by the outfit (but its better than I thought- there is torso movement). Again, the design and the detail are just beautiful. If you're into "ordinary" civilians for photos and displays, etc. yeah this works well because it adds some diversity to the Jessica Jones/Gwen or Everett Ross/Stan Lee/Lue Cage types they've already got out there. But I like my action figures to have as much articulation as possible.
