I do hope they make another wave with the following figures: Mr. Sinister, Havok, Gambit, Storm, Bishop, Nightcrawler, Mystique with Holocaust as the BAF. The old BAF needs updating IMO.

Like any the AoA wave 1 figures, it is really strange how hasbro miss out on minor costume details. This Magneto should have purple trunks like the MAFEX one. I don't think it's an excuse that Hasbro received a concept art LATE like the movie figures...the art for these comic characters are 20 years old.
In situations like this it's not about getting the concept art late, it's about getting the concept art just plain wrong. It seems Hasbro may have pulled the art from the Marvel Puzzle Quest game. That's the only concept art I can find that looks exactly like the figure. And I agree that it is inaccurate to the original comic art. AoA Magneto was almost identical to the 616 version. The only differences I knew of were longer hair, longer stylized helmet, red cape, and purple shoulder pads/armor.

I don't mind the lack of trunks to be honest

I would be tempted but I would probably make a mess of it
As in depth and thorough as Gee's reviews (and pics) are, the thing he lacks the most is to show these figures in comparison with older or other figures of this character. It woulda been nice to see how this Magneto stacked up to some of his previous outings. Maybe it's not at the top of everyone's concerns, but I'm betting it's an issue with quite a few. Knowing how short the most recent version of Jean Grey was as compared to earlier releases, I would have avoided it altogether if I didn't need the BAF. As I want to build that Colossus I suppose I'm in the same boat here though so it's more or less a moot point. Still, it seems like that should be a no brainer for most successful reviewers by now.
