What Marvel Legends Figures Is Hasbro Teasing With These Accessories?!?

December 8, 2024
Hasbro this past Friday loaded us up with a ton of info to end out 2024 giving us a look at the first two Marvel Legends waves to be released in 2025 along with 3 store exclusives coming in the new year. But besides that they seemingly dropped a number of hints for upcoming products along with 3 different accessory teasers. So lets break it all down.

At one point in the stream Hasbro told us they would be doing more Savage Land based characters in 2025 and even casually mentioned a four-armed character who I believe was a reference to the character named Barbarus. At this time I have no additional info for any Savage Land characters so we will just have to wait and see on this one.

The next clue Hasbro dropped was that they told us we would be seeing more Spider-Man: No Way Home figures coming in 2025. If you want more details on what that likely will be then GO HERE!

Hasbro's Ryan Ting when talking about the newly announced Uncanny X-Force Nightcrawler made sure to note that Uncanny X-Force is an interesting team, possibly hinting more members from that team will be getting the figure treatment. I have no additional information to share on this so this is another one we will just have to wait and see.

Ryan also noted he really liked X-Treme characters such as Rogue and Storm when they were talking about the newly announced X-Treme X-Men Wolverine. Now honestly I think this was more something Ryan would like to see than actually suggesting something that was coming, but again we will have to see.

Finally Ryan when talking about the newly announced X-Men Marrow figure along with the recent Cable figure in yellow and blue they did suggested that maybe they were teasing a greater theme. Both those characters appear in the Marvel vs. Capcom video games which is a new subline that has been rumored to be coming by Displaying Model Behaviour. According to him the first wave would include the following single and 2-Packs:

-Shuma-Gorath
-Juggernaut
-Captain America & Venom
-War Machine & Omega Red
-Wolverine & Silver Samurai
-Psylocke & Thanos

This is a line I have not seen any additional details on so we only have the one source for this particular rumor at this time. But again it did seem like maybe Ryan was making a hint for that in Friday's live-stream. Again I guess time will tell.

At the end of the live-stream the Hasbro guys confirmed they already were working on a few more Made-To-Pre-Order Marvel Legends items for 2025 like we saw with Dragon Man and the X-Men 97 Sentinel. No specifics but definitely more of those to come.

And finally Hasbro showed off three different accessories for upcoming Marvel Legends figures. Now while we will treat this as RUMOR until Hasbro officially confirms then, I can tell you with 99.9% certainty what two of the teasers are for. The third one I can only guess about.

The first accessory they showed was a staff. This should be for a new Marvel Legends Adam Warlock figure that will be part of a new Marvel Legends sub-line of figures that include mini-comics. The first wave of 6 figures should include the following:

- Rom The Space Knight with ROM Mini-Comic #1
- Banshee (Green and Yellow Classic Costume) with Giant Sized X-Men #1 Mini-Comic
- Adam Warlock with Infinity Gauntlet #1 Mini-Comic
- Miles Morales Spider-Man with Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man #1 Mini-Comic
- Dark Avengers Wolverine with Dark Avengers #1 Mini-Comic
- Ultimate Iron Man with unkown Ultimate Iron Man Mini-Comic

The Rom figure was previewed back in July at SDCC. These are supposed to be out around April time frame and cost $24.99 each.

The second accessory was of a web effect. This will go to a new Spider-Man figure that is part of another new Marvel Legends sub-line called "Ultimate" which will see release through Fan-Channel retailers.

The term Ultimate refers to the fact these figures will be jam-packed with accessories. The first two figures slated for this line should be a new Spider-Man (Traditional Red And Blue Costume) and Green Hulk. Spider-Man will have an unmasked, regular masked head and spider-sense masked tingling head. he also comes with multiple hands, webbing effects (one of which Hasbro just teased), backpack, a set of lower arm/hands that have no costume but have webblasters on the hands, and some kind of stand. Hulk will have three heads, multiple hands, some kind of firing missile, wind clapping effect and punch effect. Hulk will stand 8.5" tall.

I don't have any kind of pricing or release date info for these but these should be the "Ultimate" versions of both characters to date Hasbro has given us.

Now I have seen some suggest the webbing effect also looks similar to something seen used in the Marvel Vs Capcom games. As I mentioned before I have no info on that rumored sub-line, but I certainly wouldn't be shocked if Hasbro used an accessory with more than one figure.

The third teaser which Hasbro said was not yet finished I really couldn't say. It definitely looks like the blades used on Archangel's wings. There is a rumor again from Displaying Model Behaviour that suggests we will see a X-Force version of Archangel released in 2025. This is another rumor I have no further details on. Being the accessory Hasbro showed us is black is odd but again Hasbro said it was unfinished, which might suggest its not yet been painted silver. The image I am showing below is from the Dark X-Men storyline but again I can only guess on this one.

Not made during the Fan-Stream, but afterwards on X, Hasbro's Dan Yun posted this:

I don't know if this was meant to tease anything additional coming in 2025 that wasn't revealed in the live-stream, but I sure hope that Excalibur Omnibus is suggesting that we will finally see a Rachel Grey figure this year to round out that team.

So there you have it, a breakdown of everything Hasbro seemed to tease in this weeks fan-stream along with some additional details to shed more light on things. Let us know in the COMMENT SECTION what your most excited for when it comes to Marvel Legends in the coming year.

You know, I love a good X-Men wave. Glad to see the mutants getting some love again. But you know what we need? After the Brood-verine, I'd love a Rogue figure using multiple powers, like Nightcrawler 's head and tail and Colossus's metal skin, like this:

And while we're at, Mimic from the Exiles doing the same thing...optic blasts and Wolverine claws!

So yeah, Max line Rogue with tons of alt limbs and power fx! And Mimic is definitely on my must haves list for sure, but I want the first non mutant leader of the XMen look before the Exiles look. But I'd bet the Exiles version would be made before the original X Men look. Well, if I were betting I'd guess we don't get him at all, but I hope we do!

Idk if anyone has mentioned this yet, but a reason Hasbro is giving us this version of genocide is because the character just appeared in Heir of Apocalypse (Late 2024). The last time, I think, he made an appearance was back in Uncanny X-Force.But, then again, this wave is also giving us Uncanny X-Force AoA Nightcrawler, so maybe that's the reason?

Yes I was very aware of that. And in the comics he is very specifically referred to as Genocide and he has a human identity as well where Holocaust/Nemesis does not which brings one to wonder why they continue to call it the Nemesis wave. Was it a bait and switch or was it another Hasbro/Marvel research blunder that tends to happen when they constantly use Google for source material? Maybe in the end it might just be because Nemesis doesn't sound nearly as disturbing as either Holocaust or Genocide on product packaging.

We were already on that vein of thinking. I'll refer you to the following where I pointed out they were two different versions of the Nemesis character at an earlier time.

I'm going with both the bait and switch idea and well they had to change the name.

My prediction. With Hasbro's tendency to eventually go back and try to outdo both older Toybiz era figures but also Hasbro's own older figures during what Sharty lovingly calls the Dark Days of ML I would bet good money that they will eventually get around to doing the actual Holocaust/Nemesis version of this character in a Deluxe set or multi pack eventually. You rarely see Hasbro redoing older BAFs as new BAFs. As a matter of fact I personally don't remember the last time they did it that way. I may be wrong though. But usually when they redo a BAF they do it in Deluxe format. This is the case with Blob, MODOK, Ronan, Red Hulk etc. Furthermore Galactus, Sentienl and Giant Man were done as Haslabs. The only one that comes to mind is the 2nd Onslaught they did as a BAF but much like this version of Nemesis versus the last it was a complete different version of the character.

While my preference would not have been this particular look for a Nemesis figure, I have to say this one looks fantastic. It looks like Hasbro went all in on the detail and I for one appreciate the effort.

Personally I love it and it is quite unique and for me it is close enough. Big armor with a scull in a dome for a head and a giant plasma gun for a hand. Looks okay to me. Of course I'm sure we'd all like a comic and storyline accurate version but until that happens or even if it happens this will be good enough. Plus like you said it's a new figure with new sculpting and it looks super cool. And the majority of the figures in the wave are a solid 5 or higher and we actually have the option of passing on another Wolverine so I'll call it 7 figures for the price of 6. Which is what the entire BAF system was supposed to be about. Plus I do still have the older version which aside from the obvious articulation issues still holds up based on the uniqueness of it alone.

And I honestly do expect to see a redo of the original eventually. My best guess is in a multi-pack. It would be great to have him be packed with another character we haven't gotten from AoA but with Hasbro's history it's more likely they'll pack a new sculpt with an old sculpt and maybe do a redeco of Sabretooth or Sinister.

Sounds like you're on to something. I for one am just appreciative of new figures and new sculpts, even if it's not the exact version I may have wanted. I know there are collectors out there who will show this Nemesis some love and find a nice place for it on their shelves.
