X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 'Trask Industries' Viral Video

Outsiders - July 30, 2013

After the success of the all-star cast appearances of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" at Comic-Con this year, Fox now starts their online promotional campaign with a new viral video and website launch, which loosely sets up the complex plot behind their latest mutant adventure. The Trask Industries website features the company that Bolivar Trask (played by Peter Dinklage) built, where he created a mutant detecting device and started the ever-popular sentinel program, which in the video celebrates its 50 years in keeping the 'human' world safe.

In the film, present-day Professor X (Patrick Stewart) is somehow back from the dead, and senses a great disturbance ahead for all mutant kind. The ominous premonition leaves him to entrust Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) with a mission to go back into their past and convince his younger self (played by James McAvoy) to stop a major historical event from happening in order to save their future. The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman and Lucas Till.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently scheduled to open in theaters on May 23rd, 2014.
