Spider-Man: No Way Home Has Huge Opening Weekend At The Box-Office With Third Largest Opening Of All Time

Jay Cochran - December 19, 2021
Sony as of this morning has reported that Spider-Man: No Way home brought in domestically at the box-office for it's opening weekend $253 million. That is the best December opening movie and best Sony movie opening to date. Domestically it comes in third beating out The Force Awakens which had 247.9 million. Globally the movie has brought in $587.2 million which makes it the third biggest opening movie of all time there as well coming in behind Avengers: Endgame (1.22 billion) and Avengers: Infinity War ($640.5 million). That doesn't even include China where the movie has yet to open, and these are still only preliminary numbers. We could see No Way Home's numbers go up even more by tomorrow when we get the official final total.

Its just so amazing to see this film be up there with the big boys and all 3 of them to be marvel movies. This film was spectacular and definitely deserves the full recognition. Very well pleased with it and excited to see what else may come forward.

Just saw this movie and Wow, yes what a ride, so much to say, not don't want to spoil a thing for anyone else, I was clapping and gently tearing up, and yelling, it was what I expected and I'm glad it lived up to that, it had a great pace, and so many easter eggs, man what a movie experience!

I greatly enjoyed the movie. I feel like this was easily one of the Top 5 movies that have come out of the MCU. It was a great way to wrap up this trilogy and provide an opportunity for an almost complete fresh start to any future Spider-Man movies with nearly no ties to anything that came before.

I hated the last two Spider-Man movies, and largely dislike the MCU in general. I still thought this was a fantastic film, and the success is well deserved. They knocked it out of the park.

This movie is so much fun, as has been all of the MCU Spidey films. There is so much to cheer for, the big reveal of the previous SpiderMen got huge applause even though it was the worst kept secret.

The theatre was at capacity and the applause and cheering throughout was a lot of fun. FINALLY my entire family actually wanted to go see the latest MCU film after the suspect decision to release Shang Chi and Eternals. The theatre was nearly empty for Shang Chi and we never bothered with a Eternals. And the MCU is back with a vengeance!!

For those that have written off the MCU version of Spidey because he isnt your Spidey May appreciate the ending and the potential direction for future films.

I highly recommend for fans of the previous franchises and for those that love the MCU.

I went in with low expectations...not sure why...but I LOVED IT!

What I didnt love was all the kids in the theater who were only quiet during the fight scenes. I get that youngins love Spidey...but this movie aint for little kiddies.

Grump gripe "Get off my lawn!"

Good flick though

I had mixed feelings at first, but I can't deny that it was such a great experience watching this movie.

I just saw the movie and it is one of the best Spider-man movies I have watched in a while. I would even think it's my second favourite after Spider-man 2 and just barely inching out Spider-verse. I laughed, I cried but I never got angry, except for one thing that involves a certain suit.

I will just say tomorrow's reveals will make sense if you stay for the end credits.
