Fox TV And Marvel In Negotiations Over 'X-Men' Adaptation Project

Outsiders - August 06, 2015

Fox's Dana Walden mentioned that Fox and Marvel are in negotiations and is very optomistic that a deal is near when she was asked about a potential X-Men series on Fox at the TCA Summer Press Tour today.

"We’re in negotiations with Marvel," she said. "We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to announce something soon, but we’re not closed on deal yet."

Fox has been developing a X-Men adaptation with showrunners Evan Katz, Manny Coto, J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, which "will be a long-running series," Walden said. The project would feature familiar characters from the comic books and the movies though some of the top commodities, like Wolverine, are expected to stay exclusive to features.
