I mentioned this over on a "shout out" thread, but wanted to repeat here:
While I still have some issues with Storm, they did a good job, especially the plus of two heads and capes. Odd that they didn't at least make the "power downed" version with her normal blue eyes, and they really should have just used the recently released "retro" Storm body instead. But I really dig that they used glossy black paint and molded on her boots instead of painting them on.
I know a lot of people frowned at Thunderbird but he's another X-Man I always hoped for and very happy they released him with her, so we don't have to wait and pine for him (the only one left now is Banshee). I love the paint job they did on him except for the chest emblem- for some reason its dull and faded with a lot of blue bleeding thru, unlike the rest of the symbol, which is much more vibrant as itextends down his abdomen and legs. Also, his neck is covered when it actually should be exposed. The buckskin fringes on his deltoids and boots are on the stiff side; a more pliable plastic like what they use on Mr. Sinister's cape may have worked better. Other gripes, if any, would be that his head looks too big or sits too high and they didn't include fists with him!
Despite all that this is a fantastic set and I'm overjoyed GrtWhite was able to assist!
When I look at 1975 team Hasbro has made up till now...can't help but wish Dave Cockrum was still alive to see them. Its like they're off his drawing board.

I love the face portraits for Storm and although the new female buck is great I still maintain that she has a very obvious lack of curves, especially based on her iconic FA in the comics. That buck is rather small and it seems more geared to be an older teen or very young 20 body type. I could see a redo of Illyana on this buck as the Walgreens one was too small. This buck woulda also worked well with the upcoming Firestar. In the end she is an amazing figure which would have been stellar had they put forth a bit more in the details. Thunderbird is no slouch either. I know he's not the highlight of the set but he's a long awaited character and for as little page time as he had in the comics it's about as well as can be expected. The body mold is accurate, the paint is clean, the head sculpt is almost spot on to the Cockrum art and it just looks good. Was it worth my frustrations? Considering I got a much appreciated assist this time I would have to say yes, but I can just imagine what the future Target exclusives have in store for me.
You are very welcome and don't worry about future EXCLUSIVE figures...Ill always be on the lookout!!

Sometime later the yellow gloves/boots were dropped to match the white swath down the torso. I personally prefer red 'cause its more my color, though the Falcon also sports red/white as his classic colors. So maybe our fliers should be more distinct? Anyway I'd love an updated Legends Angel, in either color!
Yeah could easily do both, release one as a Standard figure (probably a deluxe to accommodate the wings) and release the other as a Retro figure
My bad. This is actually the Toybiz "Angel" that I meant, which, based on his wingsis technically Archangel:

Haha wouldn't surprise me if they did. Blue was the one I had.
