I'm already seeing a Vintage wave 2 with this mold being used as a comic Venom and the Absolute carnage being used as a regular carnage with weapons and a Cletus head
This figure looks better and better the more I see of it, but I don't want them to use this mold for comic Venom. I don't mind the texture, but it's too tall and lanky, I think. I still think The Warpath/Omega Red mold is best for a new comic Venom. Slightly taller than Spidey, but wider and bigger overall. I'm still waiting on Hasbro to give us goodBagley versions of Venom, Spidey and Carnage.
I can't wait to get this figure!! Glad I haven't made one myself yet.
Damn. This one looks really good.
Im pretty stoked for this fig. Huge venom fan and thought the movie was enjoyable enough. This fig looks pretty spot on and gets my so hyped to have it in my hands. I dont like how messy the teeth are painted in the closed mouth head but from far away, it looks great. The articulation and the fact that those older heads fit and look fairly good is also pretty neat. I rarely get excited for movie based legends but this will definitely be one I need to get. Im with Scareglow, I cant wait to get this bad boy.
A Tom Hardy head and a proper neck joint would have made thisa must get for me
16 hours ago, Satam said:Yeah, that Eddie Brock head does not look bad on there at all.
Still hoping they included a Tom Hardy Head sculpt...I guess Marvel Legends mayplan to release one in a future venom movie wave.
Hmm. I wonder if now that Venom is in house with the MCU if the sequel will see a more ( or at least closer ) classic Venom appearance...
But I guess theyd have to figure out how to incorporate Spidey while staying true to that Spidey less origin from the first film
Venom was a surprisingly fun movie. It helped that I had zero expectations. Does anyone else have trouble understanding Tom Hardy? From Bane, to the Revenant to Venom ( wont even mention Peaky Blinders here because he is 100% unintelligible in that show). Rumor has it he is in line for James Bond.. so much for class and elegant high society secret agent...
this figure, the overall aesthetic looks pretty spot on. The lightning or whatever on his shoulders doesnt look right. Maybe in hand I will get what they are going for here.
just love what Hasbro is doing with these off MCU films. Im a completist and I want Legends representation from ALL Marvel properties.. Tom Jane Punisher? Yes please. All cinematic Spideys? Yes, give me the entire cast.
but....super annoying that Venom and some 20 year old Xmenguys get a Legend before the MCU QuickSilver.. cmon Hasbro, even if the actor wont approve the likeness go the Cap Winter Soldier route and give us a accurate costume with a generic close enough head sculpt already.
I think this looks really awesome, It is much taller than I had expected, it's got a nice range of articulation for being a big boy, I can't wait to get my hands on this figure.
