Yeah that's not justifying anything, because I can tell you now that's not the same amount of plastic as a figure, that's cuckoo bananas, I know it's not 2003 but still, back then this would have just be included for free and the figure would have been 15 bucks, or less, being 80 bucks here in Canada is crazy talk, this isn't SHF, Mafex or Mezco, it's old man Hasbro, this figure isn't about to do my taxes or wash my dishes I ain't diggin the price tag and I think most people shouldn't, I usually don't complain but this time I am, The price is way too high for this figure, I don't even care about the stand.
I already just don't want this because I feel like I need to make a stand here.

Yes we are all familiar with the typical excuses but it just doesn't fly in this case. As far as we know typical figures in the standard line come with some accessories and even a BAF piece. If BAF's are still a thing. Just based on what some figures have included in the past this is just not balancing out. I know prices vary between the lines and sublines. For instance most people know with the Retro line we're paying for the package and presentation as well but as I've said before this is insulting in not only the price itself but the inevitable typical reasoning behind it. It's a static statue that would make McFarlane blush. It's not another figure.

Great figure though, but not really worth the price IMO.
this is 80 dollhairs in Canada, that's a wacky thing for my eye's to behold, it's a tough sell. At least someone could have called this a Rider figure, and it's jean riding the phoenix, Trick me into thinking it was a vechile..then I would have been convinced someone was trying to justify it's price tag.

I received my deluxe Phoenix from CMD Store today and it's safely my figure of the year so far, at least until I get Crystal and Lockjaw in hand. This will be my definitive Jean and I don't need any others (although I'll likely still keep my Marvel Girl version of her also).

Expecting us to pay $50 for this. We need to set a threshold for what we're willing to pay for things like this and $50 is way past that threshold. At most this should have been a $35 set. A regular figure without a BAF part and $10 for the display. Easy as that. As far as I can see a lot of people are going to pass on this. I expect to see it on sale in short order. Hopefully we can draw a line in the sand and let them know this is not cool.
Glad u say it with all the letters!

Yes good on BBTS for honoring the price they originally posted. I fully expected the rest of the sellers to correct it down instead of BBTS correcting it up. I guess they originally had some common sense and assumed the price would be as they first posted because $50 is absolutely insane.
