Marvel Legends Series 14 - Mojo Series Unreleased Variants

For those of you that don't know the story, ToyBiz turned over their Marvel license for toys over to Hasbro effective January 2007. ToyBiz had planned two more variants in Marvel Legends Series 14 - Mojo Series. The variants were Luke Cage with a silver shirt (Heroes For Hire) costume) and Psylocke with a black costume (Crimson Dawn / X-Treme X-Men costume), however ToyBiz did not make the deadline to produce these in the factories and ship to retail stores, leaving us with only prototype images.

However, ebay seller astrohu claims that before being cancelled and meant to serve as sales samples, there was only one case made of each remaing variant figure, 12 Psylocke Variants and 12 Luke Cage Variants. They typically throw out cancelled figures, but decided to keep these for reasons unkown.

I would like to clarify that MarvelousNews.com does not endorse this auction, nor vouch for the validity of it. What I can tell you is that I personally confirmed with AFA (Action Figure Authority) that the dates, descriptions and serial numbers of both the Psylocke and Luke Cage figures photographed in the auction here match up with AFA's records and that the card backs do have unique UPC and ITEM numbers.
