Joseph Gordon-Levitt Added To The List For 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Lead Role
Marvel: Outsiders on 2013-01-02

According to Deadline, Marvel Studios has expressed interested and added Joseph Gordon-Levitt to the list of actors they are considering for the lead role of Starlord Peter Quill in Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Recently, Marvel did test deals with Zero Dark Thirty‘s Joel Edgerton, Boardwalk Empire‘s Jack Huston, Cloud Atlas‘ Jim Sturgess, Lincoln's & The Hobbit's Lee Pace, and Eddie Redmayne from Les Miserables.

Guardians Of The Galaxy is being directed by James Gunn and the role of Starlord Peter Quill is the Guardians leader who is the offspring of a human mother and an alien father. Quill leads a group of alien superheros who team to protect the solar system from an evil alien race. The good guys are from the future, and another dimension.

Others mentioned in interest are Garrett Hedlund, X-Men's James Marsden; Cyclops in X-Men and Edgerton’s Animal Kingdom co-star Sullivan Stapleton.
