X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer confirmed via Twitter the rumors that actor Hugh Jackman would be joining the cast of the upcoming X-Men movie from 20th Century Fox.

"I would officially like to welcome @RealHughJackman to the cast of #Xmen Days of Future Past. Very excited! More to come... "

Jackman who will be reprising his iconic role as the feral mutant Wolverine will be reunited with fellow X-Men movie cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as well as X-Men: First Class cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult. Jackman is currently filming a sequel to his Wolverine solo movie which is simply being titled "The Wolverine."
