6" Marvel Legends Thor & Marvel Knights Figures Revealed From Hasbro
Figures: Jay Cochran on 2017-06-14

Today we got to participate in a special Google Hangout session Hasbro's Marvel Brand Team held with members of the press where they revealed a number of new 6" Marvel Legends figures for the upcoming Marvel Knights and Thor waves coming out later this year. On the panel were Hasbro Marvel Brand Team Members Ryan Ting (Global Brand Manager), (Dwight Stall, Senior Design Manager) and Bobby Vala, (Senior Product Designer).

The New Thor figure revealed was that of Ares which will be a new comic book based version. They also confirmed that the Jane Foster Thor and Odison figures will also see a regular release in this wave. Both Jane Foster and Odison are also being released in this year's SDCC exclusive boxset.

Besides Thor, they also revealed the complete Marvel Knights wave including the Build-A-Figure which will be a comic book version of Man-Thing. The wave includes

Netflix Daredevil - Includes closed fist hands, billy clubs and Man-Thing head.

Netflix Electra - Includes masked and unmasked head, 2 saiís and a leg for Man-Thing.

Netflix Punisher - Includes machine gun, pistol and arm for Man-Thing. The head sculpt on this figure looks really good.

Netflix Jessica Jones - Includes the torso for Man-Thing.

Comic Book Bullseye - Includes masked and unmasked head, extra pair of hands, left knife throwing hand, knife, pistol and a arm for Man-Thing.

Comic Book Blade - Includes two head, one with hair and one without. The figure also includes a sword with sheath and a leg for Man-Thing. This is a new sculpt, not the Blade figure Hasbro showed off but never released several years ago.

Here some notes of things mentioned during the press event...

Other figures they considered for the Marvel Knights BAF was Kingpin and Ghost Rider on bike.

Man-Thing is a lot more massive than the Toy Biz version.

Odison differs from the SDCC version is some slight deco variations and some different parts. You get a different bearded head and black arm with the comic con version. Jane Foster comic-con has a different hammer with a blue tinge to it and slight paint deco variations.

Ares different build and updated deco than previous version. Legs have more modern articulation including ankle rockers.

SDCC Ulik figures uses some parts from the Rhino BAF.

The Thor wave will have movie figures in it.

3.75" Thor Comic Book Series Executioner and Enchantress 2-pack was revealed. Should be out in the August time frame with other Thor products.

Thor and Marvel Knights wave should be hitting shelves by August 1st.

More TV series figures like Agents Of Shield are possible for them to do and if they see enough demand they could do those.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2-pack will be 3.75" with Iron Man and Mega ManX. Will be a Target exclusive due out in late August or early September. Will have good articulation, especially Mega ManX.

They are always looking for ways to approve articulation and some upcoming figures should incorporate changes they hope fans will like.

Thor wave will have a BAF which is rumored to be Executioner, but that was not confirmed by Hasbro.
