Avengers: Infinity War Role-Play Toy Reveals Thor's New Weapon - SPOILER WARNING
Figures: Jay Cochran on 2018-02-12

Warning, Potential movie spoilers below:

So if you have seen Thor: Ragnarok, then you know Thor's trusty weapon Mjölnir was destroyed, and while I am sure the fabled mystic hammer will return one day, it does not look like it will be during Avengers: Infinity War.

Shown below is an image of an upcoming Hasbro Avengers: Infinity War role-play toy which we have been told is currently hitting store shelves. The toy shows off what apparently Thor will be using in the upcoming movie. It is an axe like weapon that is labeled as "Stormbreaker".

Now Stormbreaker is significant because in the comics that becomes the weapon of the Thor-like character known as Beta-Rey Bill. Stormbreaker doesn't really look like an axe in the comics but this could also be a nod to another weapon Thor has used called Jarnbjorn, which is an axe weapon.

Another thing to note about this toy is the handle which appears to look like a tree branch. Neither Strombreaker or Jarnbjorn look like that in the comics, but some are speculating that the handle shown here could actually be a limb belonging to Guardians Of The Galaxy team member Groot.

One final thing to note about the toy. We couldn't help but notice that Thor has both his eyes in the image of him holding the weapon on the package. Again if you have seen Thor: Ragnarok you know he lost one of his eyes in that film, and we have even seen him with an eye patch in the trailers for Infinity War. It's possible the photo of Thor has been doctored to give him both eyes simply because this toy is marketed towards young kids that for some reason might be creeped out by a one-eye Thor, or perhaps this is an indication that at some point during the movie Thor regains both eyes. Only time will tell.
