'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Sequel Scheduled For 2019

Sony Pictures has updated their release schedule to reveal that a sequel to the Spider-Man: Homecoming is already set for a 2019 release. The sequel will continue with Tom Holland as Peter Parker and is scheduled to premiere July 5th, 2019.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios' "Captain: Civil War," begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

The movie stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is being directed by Jon Watts from a screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers. The film is being produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal with executive producers Louis DíEsposito, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Jeremy Latcham, and Stan Lee.
