Marvel Legends Ant-Man Infinite Series Figures Coming From Hasbro?!?

Jay Cochran - January 07, 2015
MarvelousNews reader Professorhov has let us know about a interesting listing in the Target computers for an assortment of Marvel Legends Ant-Man figures. While this shouldn't be considered a 100% confirmation that such a line is coming from Hasbro, since sometimes listings do show up in these computers that never actually materialize, it is definitely something to keep an eye on. No word on what figures would make up this line or when it might actually see release. We will try following up with Hasbro to see if they have any comment on it, or at the very least we should hear something more next month during the New York Toy Fair. Thanks to Professorhov for the heads up.

Which figures would you like to see for an Ant-Man line of 6" figures?

Unfortunately, a figure line calling a figure "Deluxe" is like when TV shows used to bill a given episode as "very special." It could mean anything.

Until ToyFair hits, its anybody's guess.

according to another image posted online at Toyark, the rest of the title includes DLX which I'm assuming stands for Deluxe. If it's anything like the Star Wars Deluxe line This could mean it's one of four things.

1. a 2 pack with Movie Ant-man and Yellowjacket this is actually the most logical choice.

2. Ant-man with a giant Ant to ride on (stupidly out of scale)

3. Ant-man with a number of accessories like click on armor and helmet, guns etc.

4. a Ant-man shrinking / Growing set with a 6inch, 3 3/4 figure and a mini figure.

I love ToyFair season! So many questions to be answered. Is Ant-Man gonna be a full line or a single figure? Will there be more Age of Ultron figures? Will there be a second wave of Guardians of the Galaxy?

This is why Feb. 15th is Fan-boy Christmas!

This would be an interesting line. I wonder what scale would it be.

"Avengers Ant Man Inf" sounds like the title in their system for an Ant-Man figure in an Avengers wave, not an Ant-Man centric wave. Given the history of how these things are labeled in department store computers, if it were an Ant-Man centric wave, it would probably be something like, "Ant Man Infinite" or "Ant Man Marvel Legends Inf." I would say it's relatively safe bet that this is just another Avengers wave.

I agree. They never expected the Guardians wave to do anything since the movie was considered such a risk. So stands to reason after the huge success of the Guardian legends that Hasbro would take a shot with what is still a risky movie by Marvel. But hey we the toy collectors are the winners as we get more figures and hopefully some really good ones.

Given the state of the action figure industry, I'd call being on file in the Target computer about as close to a guarantee as you're likely to get for any toy line. Take that any way you want.

As for the unlikelihood of an Ant-Man-centric wave, I would have said the same thing about Guardians of the Galaxy, but we got that one and it apparently sold really well. Come to think of it, if we are getting an Ant-Line, it may be because of the Guardians line's success.

Is this even confirmed to happening or is this speculation?

I see any potential ant man as an exclusive maybe but not a full blown retail release
