Ohh, okay that's actually really good information, Since I did pre-order this, but I was under the impression it would be a smaller figure, despite the statement it's 1:12 scale, but I presumed due to the nature of the character it might be on the smaller side. But if You say it's about the size of a standard height Legend, then no I guess it's not going to work..and now I'm disheartened.

True, true, your points are considered very valid, and on the strength of your well proven points, I have shifted my personal opinion on the aspects you have outlined, But I personally feel that despite, and you being right about the fact the looks so far for maximum series are consideriably drawn from more specific artists, they still at least to me represent a pretty iconic look for the characters, and I think now I probably used Classic too loosely and the better descriptor would have been iconic or familiar. You are right, and I will now slink off into a corner...No just kidding, No excellent points. and also with your points being taken firmly into consideration Yes, sure Thor isn't that far off the theme, but still in my eyes and going off my thoughts, on the line being "Iconic/Familiar" this Thor still isn't that.

Bottom line is that I still think if this Thor was the classic Thor it would have been better received and in higher demand. That's still my main point.

I mean I would, they certainly are iconic/standard looks for characters, Classic doesn't have to be first appearance, just timeless and familiar looks, which all of the Maximum sans thor are, they are not random huh where is that from looks,, they are memorable, not like Spider-Man is in his Fear Itself suit, or Deadpool in his Ultimate Suit.

Thor just doesn't fit with what they were doing, and should have done.

This isn't "on clearance" it is just discounted off of the upcharge Amazon was charging for an in demand figure. He was up to 67 last I saw. MSRP is 55. So he's still up over regular price. He's Sold out on Pulse and a bunch of other sites. While I agree that I woulda rather had his Classic costume, I have to defend the figure as The best Max figure so far. The faces are much better in hand, I wasn't thrilled with them in pics either. In truth, all of the Max figures have been successes. Spidey and the much maligned Hulk figures go for 110 bucks a piece on Amazon, and are also sold out on the other sites.

Edit: I guess I should shut up, cause now he's down to 55.99 on Amazon If you were on the fence, I would say get him now while he's basically regular price again. No telling how long that will last. I got Strong Guy for 31 last month, and he's never gotten lower than 40 since. So I lucked out there.
