Avengers: Doomsday Tickets to Go On Sale Next Week, Runtime Revealed

Tickets for Avengers: Doomsday will go on sale for premium-format screenings next week, with Disney setting July 20 as the launch date, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The studio is opening sales five months early for Infinity Vision theaters, its newly branded large-format footprint, to counter Warner Bros.� move to secure Imax screens for Dune Part III for three weeks after both tentpoles open Dec. 18.

The early on-sale also comes with a listed running time of 165 minutes. While the final cut is not expected to be locked this far out, the ticketing timetable leaves only limited room for adjustment. At that length, Doomsday would run longer than Infinity War, which clocked in at 149 minutes, but shorter than Endgame, which ran 181 minutes.

Disney also is teeing up Infinity Vision tickets for Avengers: Endgame Encore, a Sept. 25 re-release of Avengers: Endgame. The 2019 blockbuster remains the second-highest-grossing film of all time with $2.8 billion worldwide, trailing only James Cameron�s 2009 hit Avatar.

The ticket launch lands just days before Marvel�s July 25 presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, where the studio is expected to unveil the film�s first full trailer.

Doomsday brings Earth�s Mightiest Heroes back together as they face a multiverse-level threat from Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The ensemble includes Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Tom Hiddleston, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Vanessa Kirby, Simu Liu, Letitia Wright, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and others. Anthony and Joe Russo direct.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to open in theaters Dec. 18.

I very much like the idea of the witches being revealed to be characters like Clea and Wanda but also to find out that like the comics, Dr. Strange has been helping Doom. Great way to bring Cumberbatch back into things.

As they gave us Sue Storm's Malice in Legends form at this SDCC, this Latverian Witch (or one of the witches), could even be a version of the Invisible Woman as well...

Oh for sure! The first two movies certainly changed quite a bit, but I "felt the love" so to speak. Denis definitely read the books and has a deep understanding of them. But I don't agree with every single change, but overall these are the best adaptations imo. But any inner thought heavy book is gonna be hard to adapt. And this is certainly one of those. But,Messiah is possibly my favorite of the books, so I'm all in.
