EA Confirms Iron Man Game Leak After Early Gameplay Footage Drops Online

Electronic Arts has confirmed that footage from its long-in-development Iron Man video game leaked online Sunday, acknowledging the unauthorized release while teasing that there is “a lot more to show” when the project is ready.

The publisher confirmed the leak in a statement to Kotaku and pointed fans to a newly created X account for the game.

The footage appears to be an unfinished trailer or gameplay presentation, featuring Tony Stark in the Iron Man suit as he flies through city streets and beneath bridges while battling heavily armored enemies. Other sequences show Stark working on suit technology, suggesting the game will combine high-flying superhero action with elements centered on his life as an inventor.

The footage also appears to feature a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier and potentially other familiar Marvel characters, although EA has not confirmed the identities of all the figures shown.

Motive Studio’s Iron Man project was first announced in 2022. The studio has described it as a single-player, third-person action-adventure game built around an original story.

EA’s latest response stops short of revealing a release date or additional details, but its acknowledgment of the leak suggests the publisher is preparing to make a more formal reveal when the game is further along.
