I know a lot of people were looking forward to this. Myself included.Sadly I was hoping for a third Omnibus/Collection. I have the two DC vs. Marvel and Amalgam Omnibuses. Also had no idea the Amalgam Omnibus is on Amazon listed used for $1,454. (Wth?) (But then there are other sellers selling it "Collectible" Like new for $379-$400. spacer.png spacer.png

Marvel Legends Batman?? Would that be an option for Hasbro at all? That would be awesome!

There's currently no domestic companies producing 6" scale DC figures so maybe it's a possibility?

it would be a licencing nightmare since it would require an agreement from WB, Mattel, Disney and Hasbro

Maybe a dumb question since I don't really understand licensing but would the agreement between DC and Marvel roll over to merchandise as well?

no. That is a whole other kettle of fish.

Yeah, It would be cool, but like Tarot said, a very big kettle of fish.I mean for starters, Disney being involved would be where things would probably go off the rails first. Just looking at past history. Looking at MTG and the Spider-Man set? Hasbro owns Magic The Gathering and they have the license for Marvel figures i.e. Legends. But those cards are not on Arena because Disney was afraid it would compete with Marvel Snap. So Hasbro/WotC had to create an entirely different digital set of those Spider-Man cards specifically for Arena. But even before that? If we go back to Who framed Roger Rabbit? Disney and WB too were pretty picky in making sure that each of their respective properties got the same amount of screentime. B ut I believe Mickey has ever so slightly more if I remember a documentary I saw correctly. spacer.png

I would say the best bet/likely option is if Mattel does a line of 6" figures you could then pair them with Legends. Mattel will officially have the DC license and take over later this year. They revealed the "kids" line. The "collector" line is expected sometime in 2027 iirc?

Awesome that JLA/Avengers is getting re-released though I was hoping for a collection

Now if only DC vs Marvel would get the facsimile treatment.

And maybe Dark Claw Animated...

JLA/Avengers was a great story shame they wouldn't give it a general re release

I think it's awesome that they're finally playing nicely again, after 20+ years. I'd love to see an event book, that drags both universes' heroes into it, is actually canon, and has lasting effects/consequences on both universes. JLA/Avengers was amazing, but it's like it never happened. I want something of that caliber that actually sticks. It's just too bad that George Perez isn't here to see Marvel and DC finally collaborating again.JLA/Avengers II could've been the greatest comic book ever published.

MvCfan - 2025-09-19 @ 11:34 am

Woah, how'd they ever think to mash up those two together? Lol
