Bullseye Joins Deadpool-Punisher Clash as Marvel Expands Big Guns Crossover

Marvel’s “Big Guns” crossover is getting more dangerous as Bullseye enters the battle between Deadpool and Punisher, while the mysterious Black Hole’s larger plan begins to come into focus.

The four-part crossover from writer Benjamin Percy, with artwork by Geoff Shaw and José Luis Soares, continues in October following its September launch. The series brings together Percy’s acclaimed runs on Wade Wilson: Deadpool and Punisher for a violent showdown between Marvel’s two most unpredictable antiheroes.

Percy revealed details about the crossover’s second half during Marvel Comics’ “Next Big Thing” panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where Marvel also debuted new cover art, connecting variant artwork by Josemaria Casanovas, and preview pages from the opening chapters.

“Big Guns” begins when Deadpool’s latest mission puts him directly in Punisher Frank Castle’s sights. As Wade Wilson takes on a high-risk job, Castle moves to settle a score, setting off a conflict built around bullets, chaos and the unlikely collision of two characters known for their extreme methods.

New covers by Shaw and David Marquez introduce additional threats, including Bullseye, one of Marvel’s most lethal marksmen, and Black Hole, the mysterious figure manipulating events behind the scenes.

Casanovas’ connecting covers also reveal more of Deadpool’s new vehicle, the Merc Mobile, which will serve as his mobile base of operations.

“I had The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in my head from the very beginning, so I needed that third player on the board — and my mind immediately went to Bullseye,” Percy said. “His chaotic energy matched the plot and his perfect marksmanship makes him a deadly addition to the “Big Guns” lineup.”

Percy added that readers can expect further revelations about Black Hole’s abilities and additional surprises involving the Merc Mobile as the crossover continues.

“Big Guns” launches in September and continues through its four-issue run, bringing together Deadpool, Punisher, Bullseye and other forces in a battle where no one is expected to emerge unscathed.
