Hasbro has revealed their second
2019 San Diego Comic Con 6" Marvel Legends exclusive today via
THR. It will be a a 2-pack that features
Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) from Thor: Ragnarok and
The Collector (Benicio del Toro) from Guardians of the Galaxy. There will also be some of these made available at a other select conventions in North America, South America, Australia and Europe as well as select retailers in Asia. The EB Games booth at Fan Expo Canada will also be selling these. We also believe these will see a limited number made available on the Hasbro Pulse sometime after SDCC.
Based on the packaging images,
The Grandmaster figure seems to be pretty much the same figure released in the upcoming MCU set with the same staff, but you also will get the prison chair Thor was trapped in and a puddle of goo for disintegrating people with the staff.
The Collector seems to come with an alternate head with sunglasses, the ball that encased the Infinity Gem and a prison box with Cosmo the Spacedog. It's unknown if Cosmo is removable from the cage.
THR says there are four accessories, its hard to tell if the chair and Cosmos are actual accessories or just part of the packaging backdrops. We will update when we learn more.
UPDATE: Upon further inspection of the images, it looks like the 4 accessories are simply the staff, the alternate head for The Collector, the puddle of goo and the sphere that held the Infinity Gem. Unfortunately that means the chair and the cage with Cosmo are just part of the packaging and not actual accessories. It's still not clear if those things are just drawings or 3D cardboard pieces similar to what we saw last year with the Netflix set and the subway.

Personally I hate all exclusives. At least with some companies they have the decency to give the SDCC exclusives a retail release, with some more alterations

I loved Thor Ragnarok. Any fans of Thor should totally get these figures!
at least he has his melty stick lol
It's a cool set if you're not buying the Korg figure. I don't really know where to put the Collector figure in my collection. He hasn't been in a lot of movies so not a lot of display options. Plus I'm not going to SDCC so I'm gonna half to choose between this set and the Vintage Hulk figure. I'm leaning towards the Hulk figure since I'm not getting the 2pk with the Wolverine cuz I already have last year's tiger striped one and I'm fine with either looks of the Hulk.
For Marvels 80th Anniversary, this is disappointing! Even more disappointing, because I will be there!
Eh I would rather get a comic figure but whatevs
I wish the Collector came with Cosmo and Howard the Duck, and the Grandmaster with a chair for Thor and that woman that was head of the guards that kept calling Valkyrie names.

I think there was definitely an intention to do more Black Panther figures, as we did get real scans of Andy Serkis/Klaue and the various Dora Milaje. But I speculate that most of that second wave was originally planned to be issued multi-packs (probably with at least one of the two T'Challa figures added as "filler") and/or as part of the 10th Anniversary line.
Klaue/Tactical Killmonger
M'baku/Dora Milaje (alternately either/both of these could have been single-carded 10th Anniversary product)
T'Chaka/One of the T'Challas (probably the "power up" version)
But yeah...like I said just speculation on my part but it makes a certain degree of sense to me. It really seems like the only major character they forgot/ignored initially was Shuri (which makes no sense to me, but still).
