This Marvelous Custom was done by
Miked who has created custom 3 3/4" Marvel Universe Nick Fury figure. Here is how Mike describes the making of these figures:
"I was excited to discover that the Nick Fury body would be included in the TRU army builder 3 pack.
I popped the head off of the Shield Agent included in the 3 pack and replaced it with an old Jurassic Park 2 soldier head I had lying around that I converted to fit the MU body. I sculpted the patch on his eye and painted him up.
The Jet pack is of the GI Joe variety with a harness cobbled together from a Cobra Officer harness and some spare bits I had lying around. I painted it up and decoupaged the Shield symbol cut from a Fury File sheet."

thanks for the heads up on the jurassic park figs.
No problem. Actually, if your going just for the head it's probably cheaper to just purchase the head cast for 4 or 5 dollars at Broken arrow toys. Those JP packs are like 12 dollars a piece which is pretty steep for a head.
thanks for the heads up on the jurassic park figs.

Wow, well done! Do you accept commissions?
Thanks. I wish I had the time. I have about 6 or 7 new customs in different states of finish and I just don't have the time to complete them. I never feel comfortable accepting money for something that I'm not sure I can finish.
Sad face, I'm hoping to get a MU Mystique

By the way, the head that I used for this figure is once again available at TRU. He's included in the new rehash of the old Jurassic Park figures that are popping up at TRU these days. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Now that's a Nick Fury! While it may inhibit the jet-pack straps, I think I'd snip-off the holster and reposition it where it should be...on the chest. Don't forget the trademark cigar, though...for authenticity. Good-job!
Thanks, Baron! I've thought about repositioning the holster, but I think it's a little big and might look goofy on his chest- and as you said it would make the jet pack a whole other conundrum. I also thought about a variant head with a cigar or perhaps a variant left hand holding one- if you take a look, the left hand is perfectly positioned to hold a cigar between the pointer and middle fingers!
Thanks again!
Mike

I would go back and add a bit more shadow to the jaw, especially underneath, and then make the lips more of a flesh tone. Also, remember that most people don't grow or can't grow a beard up to the lip line, so maybe add some flesh tone to create a barrier.
