This weeks Marvelous Custom was done by
Chunkylover who created an update for his
Marvel Legends Style Banshee figure. Here is how they describe the making of this figure:
This is a pretty simple custom. I’m happy with how it turned out. I just had to drill the holes for the wings, and open up the hole at the base of the head. I won’t be able to put the head on the original body without modifying the neck peg, but that seems doable.
The head came from the old Banshee figure and the body is the Wolverine figure from the two-pack that came with Forge.
This is my first custom. It was super easy. Thanks for checking it out.

This is the buck that keeps on giving! Granted, it isnt a perfect Joseph, but it works for now. For a figure from Hasbros dark ages, it pretty versatile.

We NEED an updated Banshee and a X-Men 90s Uniformw/multiple heads (like the Moonstar)

Yeah, those would be cool. It's a chance for another Wolverine! There are some issues of X-Force right after X-Cutioner's Song that a few of those members were in the blue and yellow suits. They looked good. I'm really happy with what Hasbro was planning to release this year. They seem really in tune with collectors.

The wings are cloth. The pieces of plastic sewn into them that engage the side of the figure are a little clunky, but they allow some dynamic poseability. Hasbro did alright on those.
If anyone attempts this mod, be careful about the distance between the holes on the wrist and leg. I guess I didn't fully extend the arms on mine so while they are not greatly hindered, the wings do get tight if the arms and legs are extended too much.
While I was doing this I thought of the old 5-inch Banshee. Did those wings retract into the torso?
I love this and hope it becomes a release from Hasbro. It would be cool if we got the strike force.

I wonder which version of Banshee is more likely, the 90s one or a redo of the original one. Im hoping for the green and yellow since I cant go back!

Yeah, this will probably be my only custom. I don't have any sculpting or painting skills naturally. This one was just easy. Thanks for commenting.
