Marvel Legends X-Men '97 Sunspot Video Review And Images

Well, I came across this wave in person at Walmart, and I tried to pass on Sunspot, but gave in to impulse and got him. Emma was already gone.

I was planning to skip this guy, since he does not include alternate powers activated parts, and the 90s X-Force version was more my era anyway. Plus, I expect Hasbro will get to the classic New Mutants sooner or later (hopefully thats where the powered up parts will come in to play).

But for now, this version is pretty cool. The animated style is not strong enough to bother me when putting him with comic figures.

One thing that helped convince me to get him is seeing that the flame effects are new (or new to me, at least) rather than reused like I had thought. Though it would have been nice if the sculpted dots had a black wash on them.

The more I see this figure, I think, do I want this? I mean I love that it's in a New Mutants look, which can plug in fairly well with the New Mutants I have, but it's animated and clearly looks it, also not sure I care enough, the Sunspot I have is much more my flavour, I ultimately will likely just continue to pass on this, but it's really not bad.
