I always like your reviews Bluecomet!

Not sure how people feel about face plates. But including a whole 2nd head for her would have been impractical (and expensive). But I think face plates could really be nice for certain figures that make sense. For what it would cost we could get maybe a few faceplates versus an all new head. Unless they want to try to capture multiple styles (i.e. Max Hulk with different hair styles).
Thanks. Glad you liked it. Cheers

They added some ball joints to his cape to pose his cape. It's not a soft goods but it was a pretty ingenious way to do the cape at the time. They gave him a soft goods bendy wire cape with his remake version. But I don't really want to have to pay the premium price for 'posable eyes'. (But that's for a different discussion).
I would definitely get any type of Medusa that has elaborate articulated hair, it could work as a deluxe maximum figure. There's many directions they can go into, bendy wire and balljoints combo probably would be the best.
I've mentioned this before, but if anyone wants to see what articulated hair would be like, check out the Alloy from the Sony PS4 figures. Her hair is awesome!

I could have even lived with the "action" expression. The problem with face plates is that they don't often fit that well. So they fall off when the figure falls over (and Medusa will fall over a lot until you get her settled). I'm actually tempted to glue her face plate on her, but I'm resisting it.
On the figures, Medusa is great. She looks amazing. She is very hard to stand because of the hair (if they had made it just a little longer, she could have rested on it, like Scarlet Witch can do with her cape, and that would have been a major hassle avoided). But her head sculpt is amazing, her colors pop, and she's on a newer female body.
As for Gorgon, he's a huge hunk of plastic that went straight to eBay.
First, totally understand where you are coming from. I was watching Robo's review, and he noted the face plate stays in pretty well, but if you swipe left to right, it can come off. I think that's more of an issue with the engineering of the faceplate than the faceplates themselves (generally speaking).Instead of glue on her faceplate? Why not just use blu-tac or sticky tac? That would be less destructive, and you'd still have the ability to swap them. Shouldn't cause too many issues/gap.I have some figures with different face plates, and they generally work well. PAK figures for example.
Not my image, but I have the PAK Tifa. The way they do their face plates is that the hair lifts off, the faceplate then slides in, and then the hair sits down on top. It's a bit like a lock and key system, and the hair holds the faceplate in place. Figma does them as well.McFarlane made face plates for the Movie Superman.
The faceplates all look pretty good. But they fit pretty snug. I don't think they will fall off very easily. I actually had to fiddle to remove them to swap them. McFarlane has its own issues as a line. But one thing I can never take away from it is that he is giving us bendy wire soft goods capes. I'd like to see Hasbro do the same. I still need to get a soft goods cape for my 97 Emma. Its a first for Legends, though, right? Haven't they ever done face plates before this Medusa? I like that they are experimenting. And it is something. I think they could improve on with time. But yeah I'd recommend against anything permanent like glue (if you can help it). Try some Blu-Tac/sticky tac first.

Madusa looks nice. The outfit is close enough to use as her FF look. Love the idea of the articulated hair, but it needed more motion than a flat side to side. The hair shoulda been bigger and had tendrils going back to hold her up. Agree with jscott on that. I woulda liked more tendrils (strands?) That could move on their own for more tangling. But overall a really good figure here. Ultra poseable and I love the faceplates. They can go ahead and keep going with those on a lot of figures.
Oh and since he's in the picture....what the heck is with Executioner not having two gripping hands for a two handed ax? I know he's strong enough to weird it regardless, but c'mon!!!!!
That was another point Robo brought up in his review that her hair could have been a tad longer to help support her.The articulated hair reminds me of the PAK DoC Vincent.

Only reason I will be getting this Medusa is the extra articulation.
I'm surprised Hasbro didn't hesitate to use so much plastic on Gorgon, like he still would have been impressively big if they used MVC Venom torso with smaller legs, they could save plastic and give us more articulation, however, I don't think they would save money since even if they use less plastic they still would be paying more for articulation due to more parts.
That is the strange thing. Black Bolt and Triton were $58. Medusa and Gorgon are $62. And Medusa and Gorgon obviously have more plastic, more weight (meaning more shipping), etc. But the difference is only $4?
One thing was I actually really didn't even take into consideration how Massive Gorgon is, he's huge! like wow, I thought he was on the bigger side, but I got this 2 pack and I was stunned by him, So he seems like he might just be a bit too big, I'll over look it because it's finally a Gorgon and they did a good job, but that's a big figure!
