I actually cancelled my Doom for just this reason. He looks pretty immobile and bare bones. We Will be getting another few, and most likely better. Plus I saw all the figures except him a Walmart, and was super bored with essentially a bunch of repaints.
A little off topic, but I was watching a video about how they should reverse how they release figures. Basically that the movie figures, that need tons of single use tooling, should be the Max line releases. After the movie comes out and If the character resonates, to put an all out effort figure that is correct instead of these half baked figures from early sketches or scrapped looks that need to be updated as soon as the movie comes out. The idea is that it would cut the waste of making so many MCU figures that don't sell but needed the expensive tooling to make. Meanwhile, this would free up money to spend on tooling of characters that have looked they way they do for decades. I kinda found myself agreeing with a channel I usually disagree with.
I dunno sure, I guess it's good, for our first MCU Doom figure, I guess I like the costume, they did a good job of MCU'afying Doom, don't really have any complaints, but I also just smell the stink of this being just one of very many MCU Dooms to come, this is bare bones in the accessories department, We know he uses all kinds of magic, this comes with 2 hands, you know there is going to be a better version later, and an Unmasked head, a Secret Wars one, aand a blah blah etc, nobody can forget how many MCU Thanos we got, It's all in the game, but At this point I feel like why bother settling for this other then to be first?
is it good, sure it's fine, it is what it's supposed to be, but the lack of things in this box, just makes me feel like yer getting the mininum expecially when these cost as much as they do 40-45 here i Canada for a standard figure, even regular figures that arn't this Doomsday wave are not that price.
