6" Iron Man Movie Figures From Play Imaginative

6" Iron Man Movie Figures From Play Imaginative

Jay Cochran - October 13, 2013
For you 6" collectors, Singapore based toy company Play Imaginative is releasing a new line of Super Alloy 1/12 Scale Iron Man 3 figures. These figures sport great detail, articulation and accessories. Have you ever wondered what all Tony Stark's armors looked like between the Mark VII seen in Avengers and the Mark 42 seen in Iron Man 3? Well Play Imaginative has done a pretty good job to show you many of them with this new line. Featuring most of the armors that have appeared in the Iron Man movies and many that have not, this line has a little bit of something for everyone, and definitely will allow you to build the ultimate Hall Of Armor in 6" scale. Here are just some of the features these figures will come with:

- Approximately 6 inches in height
- Figure exterior is about 70% die-cast material.
- Showroom glossy metallic paints, matte metallic paints and polished metal with protective coating.
- Die-cast metal torso, legs and arms.
- Figurine with more than 20 points of articulation.
- Ball jointed neck.
- Ball jointed shoulders for full range of arm movements.
- Ball jointed shoulder pad.
- Double jointed elbows and knees.
- Ball jointed wrist and groin.
- Double jointed body, bendable at upper torso.
- Ball jointed ankles with bendable boot front.
- Interchangeable hands
- Some figures will come with Interchangeable battle damaged parts (mask, chest, shoulder pads, biceps, thighs).
- LED lights in eyes and chest (batteries included).
- Semi die-cast base stand with spring-loaded claw and adjustable height. Comes with LED lights and magnetic nametag (batteries included).
- Foldable backdrop with plastic angle supports to enhance display of figurine.
- Hard case box. Internal blister support.
- Microfibre cleaning cloth for cleaning off fingerprint marks on alloy parts.
- Screwdriver for opening battery compartments.
- Tests performed - Oxidation, paint chipping, paint fading, electronic and battery tests.

Another thing that is very cool about this line is that they are in scale with one another. So for instance a figure like Iron Monger from Iron Man 1 or Armored Whiplash from Iron Man 2 stand taller than the regular Iron Man armor figures. We were told at New York Comic Con the basic sized figures would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 each while the larger standing ones would be more. The figures are slated to be released in 2014 and if you are a 6" Marvel collector and you've been waiting for a high quality line in this scale, then I suggest you keep an eye out for these.

Shown below is a detailed gallery of images for the 1/12 figures that were on display at the New York Comic Con.
