Marvel Select Thor Figure

September 18, 2007
Last week we brought you news that Thor would be joining the ranks of the Marvel Select line, but that wasn’t enough for the Asgardian God of Thunder! Taken from the legendary J. Michael Straczynski’s new Thor series, this Marvel mainstay is ready to make his triumphant debut!

The Mighty Thor sports the new chain-mail costume designed for his latest ongoing series, which chronicles the iconic hero’s struggles to rebuild Asgard on Earth - eight feet above Oklahoma! With over 14 points of articulation and a deluxe Asgard base, not even Loki himself can stop this legendary god as he battles a new era of enemies and deals with the fallout of Civil War, World War Hulk and more!

Sculpted by Gentle Giant, this is one hero you can’t pass up! Look for the Mighty Thor in stores next March and don’t forget - Marvel Select Zombie Spider-Man ships this week and the Colonel America arrives next week!

If I could make the best Thor costume I'd take this costume and give him the Asguard Helmet and cape with a beard. He'd look awesome.

So true

Can't wait to get him! i'm sure he'll be a "breath of fresh air" for the ML figures.

2 months to go... I thought it'd be sooner than that... This is the only Marvel offering that's guaranteed to get my money this year, from what we've seen thus far.

Wow, the excuses some of you make for MS Thor to fit in with the regular 6'' line! Once & for all time, these are Thor's physical stats in the comics! He is not Hulk sized!

Height: 6 ft. 6 in.

Weight: 640 lbs.

Eyes: Blue

Hair: Blonde

As lizzardteasbag stated! also i heard that ms wont go to 6 inch figures because they want them to be seperate from ml

What part of that is so hard for some of you to comprehend?

MS is like DCDirect, they sculpt their line in the 7'' scale!

So, No, MS Thor does not fit in "scale" wise with the regular ML 6'' line.

I will be getting this. he seem to fit in with scale. also i heard that ms wont go to 6 inch figures because they want them to be seperate from ml

Inggasson - 2007-09-22 @ 5:42 pm

Yeah, Thor is massive, especially Ultimate Thor and Coipel Thor, so the 7" scale will be perfect.

Bigsexy944 - 2007-09-22 @ 5:25 pm

he'll probably work with them anyway. Thor is a tall guy. The ML Ant Man Thor was way to short. The MS Ultimate Thor looks perfect with the ML Ultimate Cap.

I wish Marvel Select would go through with that rummored plan from a year ago - make their figures in 6 inch scale. I'd definitely get that Thor if he was in ML scale.

It seems to me that the MS select sculpters did both Toybiz and MS....I go check out Thanos' markings as well as Mephesto....I like the chain mail and the fact that they changed the yellow boots....He's The God of Thunder, not Hulk Hogan Brother lol.
