Jane Goldman Working On X-Men: First Class Script

Jay Cochran - May 11, 2010
Hot on the heels of last week's confirmation that Matthew Vaughn was directing the upcoming "X-Men: First Class" movie, yesterday Jonathan Ross tweeted that his wife Jane Goldman was working on the script for the movie;

"G;night all. The wife is away writing X Men 4 so I am off to bed with little Sweeney alone. He will keep my feet warm and my spirits high."

"Also, for those who need to know, my wife IS currently writing X men First Class. It's just referred to as X men 4 around the house..."

"I am afraid I better not answer any more queries re X Men First Class for fear of spoilers and also possible divorce. Thank you."

Jane Goldman co-wrote scripts for movies such as "Kick-Ass" and "Stardust."

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS begins production this summer for a June 3, 2011 release. Bryan Singer, who conceived the story for FIRST CLASS and directed the original “X-Men” and its sequel “X2,” is producing along with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known.
