It is being reported that actress Amber Heard is being considered for the role of Mystique in Mathew Vaughan's upcoming "X-Men: First Class" prequel movie. The role of Mystique was previously played by actress Rebecca Romijn in the previous three X-Men movies.
In other "X-Men: First Class" casting news, Rosamund Pike who was previously rumored to be up for the role of Emma Frost is not apparently being considered for the role of Moira MacTaggert, who in the comics was a scientist who was an expert in the field of Mutants and former lover to X-Men founder Charles Xavier.
AlsoInglourious Basterds star Michael Fassbender who had been rumored to be up for the role of Magneto has apparently declined an offer to screen test for the role. James McAvoy remains the only cast member to actually be
confirmed for this movie, and he will play the role of Charles Xavier.
Look for 'X-Men: First Class' to be released on June 3, 2011.
