Some new images from filming of "Captain America: The First Avenger" reveals a scene that appears to re-create VE Day or Victory in Europe Day. The images were taken on August 22, in a public place depicting people dressed in 1940's clothing waving UK flags while re-enacting the day WWII Allies formally accepted the surrender of the armed forces of Nazi Germany in 1945. The films star Chris Evans was not spotted during the shooting of this scene, but direct Joe Johnston was spotted.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" began shooting in London earlier this month and stars Chris Evans as Captain America/Steve Rogers, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones and Stanley Tucci. Look for this movie to hit theaters on July 22, 2011.
