Rhys Ifans Character For The 'Spider-Man Reboot' Will Be...

A few days ago, we reported that Rhys Ifans had been offered the villain role in the Spider-Man reboot by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony has a press release and it states that they will not say which villain Ifans has been chosen for.

According to TheWrap, Rhys Ifans will play Dr. Curt Connors, better known as The Lizard. Rumors had it that Venom would return but he will not be featured in the movie.

Production on the movie starts in December and will hit theaters in 3D on July 3, 2012.
