Ray Wise Joins The Cast Of X-Men: First Class

Actor Ray Wise (Robocop) has joined the cast for Matthew Vaughn‘s X-Men: First Class.

He will play Secretary of State of the United States.

Wise joins January Jones (Emma Frost), James McAvoy (Xavier), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Zoe Kravitz (Angel), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee), Lucas Till (Havoc), Edi Gathegi (Darwin), who round out the mutant contingent. Kevin Bacon is playing the villain, Rose Byrne will play McAvoy's love interest Moira MacTaggert, and Oliver Platt is playing The Man in Black.

Production for this movie began back on August 23 in London and is slated to be released on June 3, 2011.
