Deadline is reporting that Marvel Studios has picked up writer Robert Rodat, who wrote "Saving Private Ryan" to rewrite "Thor 2" for director Alan Taylor. The original draft was written by Don Payne and Rodat will work from this script.
Disney will put the film into production later this year for release in 2013 with Chris Hemsworth returning as the title character.
