The folks over at
Jedi News have posted a spy report of the Hasbro booth from the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Most of the report deals with Star Wars product, but they do mention a little snip-it of info about Marvel stuff that was on hand there.
"Spidey an Iron Man already revealed. Thor figs very impressive. No Wolverine movie product was shown, and there is still some comic-based Legends an Universe support coming."
Though it comes as no real surprise that Hasbro is doing toys based on the next Thor movie, this is our first real indication of it. The report says the figures are impressive, unfortunately they give no details as to why.
This report also seems to indicate that Hasbro will not being doing a line of toys specifically for the next Wolverine movie. Hasbro did do a line for the previous Wolverine movie but with them already doing lines for both Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 as well as the Spider-Man animated series, they may have decided that a 3rd movie line in the same year would just be to much.
We should learn more next Saturday 2/9 at the New York Toy Fair about all the Marvel offerings from Hasbro coming in 2013, so be sure to check back to Marvelous News then.
The Thor sequel is set one year after the Avengers movie and will see Asgard battered by war after invasion by the rag-tag Marauders - only for a worse threat to turn up in the form of Malekith and his Dark Elves, who are out for vengeance against the whole realm of Asgard because of an ancient grudge.
Thor: The Dark World premieres on October 30th.
