Last week we brought you news about what appeared to be a third wave of 6" Marvel Legends Infinite series figures that showed up on the Barnes & Noble website. The listings for this wave included the following:
- Blizzard
- Valkyrie
- Thundra
- Dr. Strange
- Marvel Now Iron Man
- War Machine
- Hero Number One
Now we speculated it was possible these figures might be part of some sort of exclusive wave to Barnes & Noble since they were the only website at the time listing these figures. However our friend
Rektangular, who first put us on to this story has done some further research and discovered that the UPC numbers assigned to those figures now appear in the Target computers as well. They come up as 6" Captain America Legends figures because Target has been assigning the same DPCI # for many of their Marvel Legends since that initial Captain America wave was released last year.
So what this basically tells us is that the figures first listed on the Barnes & Noble site won't be exclusive to that retailer, which is good news for those of you who don't have one of those stores nearby.
Another interesting thing to note that
Rektangular discovered was that Walgreens also appears to have these figures listed in their computer system including one extra figure that remains unknown.
We told you last week how a toy buyer from the drugstore chain had posted a cryptic Tweet several weeks ago indication they would likely be getting another Marvel Legends exclusive this year. The hint in the Tweet suggested it would be a figure from the Ant-Man Legends series, but this new evidence indicates it may be an Avengers based figure, or that Walgreens might be getting two exclusives this year, one for the Avengers Legends line and one for the Ant-Man Legends line, only time will tell for sure.
Hopefully Hasbro will reveal all in two weeks during the New York Toy Fair which coverage begins for on February 14, 2015 right here on MarvelousNews. It does seem most likely the Avengers figures listed above will see a general release. It still remains unknown what the Build-A-Figure for this wave will be or how soon we might see the release of these figures. We also still don't know what that figure listed as "Hero Number One" will actually be, though some have speculated it could be a reference to the Original Human Torch.
Rektangular has posted another video where he shares his own thoughts on these latest developments which you can check out below.
