During
San Diego Comic Con Hasbro released a teaser image that indicated they would soon be releasing a new
6" X-Men Marvel Legends Mystique figure. See the teaser image below that Hasbro showed which features Mystique's iconic skull belt.
Now thanks to some detective works from MarvelousNews reader
Matt, we have indications that the
Mystique figure Hasbro was teasing will end up being released as a
Walgreens exclusive. He let us know that he discovered that the
Walgreens Item Code
#997005 lists several figures in the system which includes
Silver Surfer, Thing and
Mystique.
We called our local Walgreens and got similar information about the item code Matt gave us. Our local store also told us that they had an open order referring specially to the
Silver Surfer and that it should be in on
August 23.
So based on this info as well as knowing from SDCC that the upcoming
Magik figure will be released as a Walgreens exclusive, it looks like Walgreens will either be shifting from Fantastic Four to X-Men exclusives, or perhaps maybe adding since we are still hopeful they will end up releasing a Marvel Legends
Dr. Doom and
Super Skrull figure to their Fantastic Four line. Perhaps we will get more details about
Mystique later today during the
Unboxing Toy Convention where
Hasbro will be on hand and will likely debut 3-4 new Marvel Legends figures there. Stay-tuned to MarvelousNews for coverage of that event and thanks to Matt for the heads up.

Unfortunately, at SDCC the Hasbro team made it sound like the Fantastic Four figures are coming to an end. We had the leaks/rumors of the Super-Skrull and Infamous Iron Man Doom coming, and I guess those will be the last FF exclusives before Walgreens shifts to the X-Men ones.
Man, it would be awesome to see more ML Walgreens exclusives... That Ill probably never see in-store, at least until after I already snagged em off eBay, so please put em up on the dang Walgreens site, already.
So yea, very cool.

Here in Canada, we have just received the new Thing figure and the Silver Surfer figure was available last month. They were sold at EB Games. We also have the new Deadpool Sauron BAF wave.

On the whole, I've been loving the Walgreens exclusives. I just hope distribution is well executed, cause let's just say my Fantastic 4 is looking more like Fantastic 2.

This is a good thing. Not only are Walgreen exclusives great but it also opens up a slotted in the xmen wave which can Befilled up with someone else
