Weapon X Fine Art Statue From Kotobukiya

Weapon X Fine Art Statue From Kotobukiya

Jay Cochran - October 15, 2018
Kotobukiya has released some official images for their upcoming X-Men Fine Art Weapon X statue.

Sculpted by Erick Sosa, this finely crafted statue depicts a grieving Wolverine who has escaped from the research facility where he was subjected to Experiment X, a brutal experiment that involved bonding the mutant’s skeleton with admantium and erasing his memories. The statue recreates the scene where the fugitive mutant is running down a snowy mountain road after his escape, which is considered to a crucial point in the character’s storyline.

The diorama base is modeled after the harsh winter environment in the remote area of lberta, Canada where Department K is located. Although the motif of the statue differs from the statues of the –Danger Room Sessions- series, Weapon X still looks great displayed alongside the other X-Men Fine Art statues.

Available - June 2019

Statue's are so darn expensive, but they are also so darn good lookin'. This one is no exception. Awesome that he comes with the alternate helmet head.

i agree. I generally don't like statues, but this one bad a**! I could see getting this one.

Why do we need more Wolverine collectibles? He's so overrated.

I disagree. Wolverine is one of the most iconic character from the Marvel comics and the most famous mutant. There is a new comic arc of his return to the main universe going on now and to me is quite the opposite, Wolverine is never enough.

This piece is amazing. Not into statues tho. But this one reminds me that the new Weapon X marvel legends will come out next year and I couldn't be more excited!

Take the briefs off and it's perfect. For comic-accuracy reasons, of course.

Its cool that statues or figurines like this Weapon Xare starting to include interchangeable parts. That way you dont have to buy multiples of the same product to get two different looks. Seems like theyre taking a cue from action figures in that sense.
