We have gotten new details on a story we first reported on
the other day in regards to an Avengers themed Marvel Legends wave based on the upcoming
Square Enix Avengers video game.
Jtprime17 originally alerted us to a listing via
Everest Distributors indicating that Hasbro would be releasing a 7 figure assortment of Marvel Legends figures based at least in part on characters from the coming game, which now has a release date of September 4, 2020.
Since the original report, we have now gotten word from multiple sources that the assortment will include the following figures:
2x Captain America
1x Iron Man
1x Kamala (Ms. Marvel)
1x Mach-1
1x Rage
1x Leader
1x Captain Mar-vell
This of course have NOT yet been officially confirmed by Hasbro, so we will treat this as rumor for now. We also don't know if these figures will all be video game based or a mix of comic book and video game. We suspect it will be a mix, thinking
Captain America, Iron Man and
Kamala will be video game based and the others will be comic book based. Those three characters are all confirmed for being in the game. It's also unclear if this wave will include a Build-A-FIgure, and if it does we have no indication on what it might be.
We do know a video game version of Iron Man is coming, as Hasbro announced that figure officially back in
October.
It's also possible a
video game version of Hulk could be coming to Gamestop stores, but that has not been confirmed at this time either. Hopefully more details on all of this will come to light next month at Toy Fair, if not sooner. Toy Fair coverage kicks off on February 22.
