Following the
news from earlier today,
Tamashii Nations has released official images and details for their upcoming
Japanese Spider-Man TV Series Soul of Chogokin GX-33R Leopardon & Marveler Summoning Set which will be released on September 2020.
The Leopardon will stand around 6.7" tall and feature a sword and shield and can transform into the spacecraft called
The Marveller. You also get in this set a
life size spider bracelet you can wear that will feature music & voice function and a Die-cast
“Spider Machine GP-7” along with a Spider-Man minifigure. There is also a mini Spider Machine GP-7 that will fit in the Leopardon. Finally you get a display stand. Check out images below.
nice figure, I only wish hasbro would make a version of this spiderman cause this one is going to be a pain to get and its going to be quite expensive, still Im diggin it a lot
The robot looks great...I find the action figure odd in terms of lower body design.
Damn this is sooo cool, I dunno if its figure for most but its definitely hits the geek spot for realspider-man fans.
I remember the first time i saw this version on Youtube. I was like wth? And that rope for a spider web was hilarious. You could pull a tugboat with that thing. The figure looks great though. Gotta luv it.
22 hours ago, tarot said:@JayCyou say power rangers but with spiderman but in fact if it wasnt for this show, thepower ranger would not be what it is today. Monsters of the week, giant mecha, campy story. Yeah pr owes everything to this show.
The only aspect that Power Rangers owes this show is the giant robot. Without Leopardon, there wouldnt be mecha in Super Sentai (aka Megazords in Power Rangers). Everything else had been done before since Super Sentai and Kamen Rider started before Toeis Spider-Man. Also, what you call a campy story is what Marvel and folks has been doing for quite some time in their comics. This was just the Japanese live action version of it.
As someone else had stated, the Power Rangers episode of Toys That Made Us dives into this topic. You should watch it.
Looks really good!!! All the sculpt for the fabric is amazing! I've no interest in the figure, but can't deny it's very well done!
Not my cup of tea, and for what Tamashii Nations typically charges for their products it's not something I'm even going to entertain purchasing, but this is still something cool to see.
Great looking figure. One of these days I'm gonna have to check this series out.
