This is a long awaited great wave for sure. Even a knucklehead like me quickly pre ordered the Gwen and MJ figure. I was going to wait for later price drop for Spidey and the Green Goblin but my good sense over rode my cheapness and I pre ordered them too. Almost passed on the Peter Parker until the review revealed that the ugly goggles had eyes behind them. Its Christmas in June for me.

She looks very nice but she is a bit too small for my taste. She is built on the MCU Peggy Carter body which was very tiny, even with those tall heels. The teen body used on Jubilee, Spidergirl, Spider Gwen, etc is much thicker than this one and they should have at least been the same size I'd think.

Not happy about it, but, unlike Peter's glasses, I can kinda see what they were thinking when they made Gwen a little shorter. After all, this IS supposed to be the version of the character that didn't make it to adulthood.

I agree with the consensus that these are damnbeautiful head sculpts, but it's just not a character(s) I'm all that stoked about getting, though make no mistake, I will be getting her. Seeing the new skirt layover makes me more and more confident that we will be seeing a modern Marvel Girl sooner than later, though this buck itself is far too short, as is totally apparent when standing next to the Rogue figure. Overall it's a good looking figure, just not something that I'm particularly looking forward to. Same goes for the Peter Parker figures. Guess I'm just not really interested in "Civies".
