If they had only included the red head sculpt this wouldve been fine. To add a head that doesnt reflect the correct skin tone is ridiculous. I agree with Nessex that representation matters, but also ACCURACY matters. Its baffling how they could have made this kind of mistake....so much so, that its hard to believe that it was a mistake. Outside of the Magneto figure, I'm pretty much passing on this wave....but again if they hadn't done this with the figure, I would have purchased it.
I love this figure. I know there's a lot of people bummed about the colour palette, but overall the figures is pretty freakin' cool. I love the face and hair sculpts. Glad they didn't short change her in the height department either. I was scared that she was looking a little on the short side, but it's not so bad. Glad to see someone in the engineering department figured out a way to change out lower limbs on female figures. I'm sure they spent many sleepless nights trying to hammer that thing out. This gives me confidence that one day, maybe just one day, we might actually get a Quake and/or a Slingshot figure. Whadaya say, Hasbro? You could even do the ole 2fer trick. Do a Quake figure and include extra arm parts and a head sculpt to do Slingshot. Better yet, throw some normal hands and a helmet head sculpt and do the whole female SHIELD agent army builder bit, that we'll never be able to find unless we preordered it. Just an idea on how you can basically print money.
Man, this is such a fun figure. Those blaster cannon arms are so clearly modelled from her comic book cover.... and that hair sculpt!I'm bummed that Hasbro didn't colour correct that flesh tone on the alt head before release. Representation matters.Might have to have a go at recolouring her so she looks more true to her Indian origins.
