We've previously told you how the next
X-Men themed wave of
Marvel Legends figures coming later this year from
Hasbro should include another round of characters from the classic
Marvel Comics storyline called
Age Of Apocalypse. As you may recall the first wave
Hasbro did for this which saw release last year included figures of
Wild Child, Dark Beast, Jean Grey, Morph, Nate Grey (XMan), Sunfire and
Weapon X. The
Build-A-Figure for the wave was
Sugar Man.
Hasbro also released a stand-alone
Deluxe Apocalypse figure as well.
So who from the
Age Of Apocalypse is going to be in the second wave? All we really know at this point is the wave will include 7 figures and 1 Build-A-Figure. They wave should be out late summer or early fall.

• F1008 – 5010993839599
• F1009 – 5010993839582
• F1010 - 5010993839629

Since we don't yet know any of the specific figures in this wave, we thought it would be fun to speculate on possible candidates we would like to see included.
NOTE these are purely
guesses based on figures we would like to see and should not be considered anything more than that. We do however welcome you to share your own thoughts in the
COMMENTS SECTION below letting us know which figures you want included in the wave.
Ok so lets start off with the most obvious choice for this wave which is
Sabretooth. We got his partner
Wild Child in the first wave, so I would be amazed if
Hasbro doesn't do this one for the second wave.
Sabretooth
Next up as being a logical choice is
Magneto. In the
Age of Apocalypse storyline, Magneto essentially assumed to role left vacant by
Professor X who was killed in this reality. It would also be an easy figure for Hasbro to do making slight adjustments to the last red costume
Magneto they gave us.
Magneto
Where
Magneto goes
Rogue should follow. Since we only got one female figure in the first wave I am thinking we might see the same for the second wave.
Rogue
Of course after
Rogue, I can't help think of
Gambit. Back in the day
Toy Biz gave us non-Marvel Legends figures of both Rogue and Gambit from
Age Of Apocalypse in a 2-Pack.
Gambit
One I personally would really like to see is
Iceman with all the jagged ice sculpting he sported during
Age of Apocalypse.
Iceman
While I don't know how likely it is that they would do him, I think one that would go over well with many fans is
Nightcrawler.
Nightcrawler
Honestly to keep it realistic for this last one I feel I should come up with some version of
Wolverine they could do. Maybe a bald version of the one we got in the first wave. Instead I am going to go with another one I would like to see which is
Quicksilver.
Quicksilver
So that's it for my guesses of the regular figures in the wave, but what about the
Build-A-Figure? The two most obvious choices to me would be either
Colossus or
Nemesis. We got a
Nemesis Build-A-Figure years ago from
Hasbro, but he seemed like a popular choice when people were trying to guess what the BAF in the first wave was going to be. Still for me personally I think I would rather see
Colossus.
Nemesis Build-A-Figure
or
Colossus Build-A-Figure
So that's it. Like I said before, these are all just
GUESSES, but it will be interesting to see how many I get right when
Hasbro gets around to officially revealing these. Let us know in the comments which characters from
Age of Apocalypse you want to see in figure form?

They will probably do his AOA version for the wave and release his X-Force version as a Fan Channel like Deathlok

It would be an obvious retool.

Also that look for night crawler is just pure awesome. My favorite look for him.

Chris Bachalo pencilled? My knowledge of RTTAOA is limited to one issue of the limited series I read in a comic store, about 10 years ago. Hated it.
And, you're right with Age of X too (liked that quite a bit), although her floating around the x-world with a bunch of other telepaths didn't really make her a standout character. Hence, kinda forgot she was in it.
I'd literally die for an 'Evolution of Psylocke' 3-pack (actually, left to me, I'd want a 6 pack, but I'm being kinda realistic'ish) (1). Alan Davis/New Mutants annual debut issue, frilly English maid costume, (2). Silvestri Fall of the Mutants/Inferno armour, and either Crimson Dawn, Kwannon or UXF. Can't think of any other x-character, male or female, with that many cool 'looks' but....never going to happen
Return was legitimatelya return to the original Age of Apocalypse, shown at that point to still exist (despite Bishop fixing the 616), whereas Ages of Apocalypse was part of the Twelve storyline, when 616 Apocalypse was merged with Cyclops and kept warping reality in order to try to manipulate "the Twelve" into re-energizing him. Neither was very good!
Yeah, the force warriors seemed important to the world portrayed in Age of X, but they weren't all that important to the plot. It totally makes sense that one might forget about them. It was mostly the Rogue, Magneto, Gambit, and New Mutants show! I really enjoyed it either way.
And hell yeah, on a Psylocke evolution pack! I'm not huge on her debut outfit, but she's had a lot of great looks over the years. I'd love her recent pre-House of X/post-Kwannon and Marvel Nowlooks, as well as pre-DarkAngel Uncanny X-Force and Outback!

While this is true, the 616 Sunfire ended up sporting hisAge of Apocalypse look for a while (after being made into a horseman), 616 Wild Child currently wears his Age of Apocalypse costume, and there was a version of Morph in his Age of Apocalypse look on the Exiles for a long time. Only Jean and Weapon X were truly Age of Apocalypse-only.
It's not a 1:1 but an AOA Magneto can also be your "Joseph" figure in a 616 display. I don't remember Joseph wearing Magneto's red and purple costume in any of the comics' interior art but Joe Mad does have Joseph wear that costume on the cover of Uncanny X-men 327. He even has AOA Magneto's red (not 616 Magneto's purple) cape.

Nightcrawler and Blob as well during the Uncanny X-force days.

I did think that Beast and Sunfire were both pretty great figures though and don't regret paying full price for them.
Unless they have a BAF as compelling as Sugarman i don't see myself getting into a 2nd wave of AoA (no offense to fans of the story & figures) Also, i could be mistaken but weren't most of the characters in wave 1 ones that had crossed over to 616 at some point? Can they pull that off again in a 2nd wave to help lure in collectors who aren't into AoA but like new characters for their 616 collection? Dunno.
Only X-Man, Dark Beast and Sugarman crossovered to 616 from wave 1, the other was Holocaust.
