Given they knew they would re-use the body mold; I'm surprised they didn't plan in advance by either molding a holeless torso or molding some pegs that could be glued to plug the holes
If only that figure didn't have those holes, they could easily include some symbiote tendrils or something to cover it or at least small pegs, especially when it's deluxe price range. Otherwise it's great body for Venom, headsculpt might be too big but it captures essence of Animated Venom.
Images look cool for what it is, but I feel like the more I see it, the more I dont think I want it even if I was willing to shell out that premium price for a regular, very limited in accessory, overpackaged, figure. You are basiically paying an extra 10 for the packaging, which I would be throwing away anyways. Im a mega venom fan and even I cant fathom it all.
30$ for a regular figure that comeswith nothing but an extra head. Not gonna conme into that one!
On the bright side, atleast its not on the Hyperion buck again
They specifically mentioned they couldn't fill them because Venom was in production at the same time as the Omega Red redeco, which required the holes to fit the shoulder pads. There was a mention about possibly filling them in for future uses of the body, however.

But what do you mean "they did fix the hands"? I'm not seeing the white patches on them in any of the three in-hand reviews that are up on Youtube. Or are you talking about something else?
I meant they didn't fix the hands

This photo shoot really shows off the great sculpt of the figure. It was a great choice of body. Thats about all the praise I have for this figure,
on one hand Im glad that this and that MODOK set are the only Con offerings this year. Between Galactus and the Infinity Saga Sets Hasbro will already be getting a lot of my money.
These Con offerings are money I dont have to spend.
